New Partnership Formed with the U.S. Green Building Council
Nature Works Everywhere is thrilled to announce its new partnership with the U.S. Green Building Council. The Nature Conservancy is participating as a founding partner on USGBC’s newest sustainability education initiative: Learning Lab.
Learning Lab is an online education platform for K-12 teachers and school leaders that provides comprehensive, project- and STEM-based curriculum encouraging student leadership, sustainability literacy and real-world action.
Learning Lab was created and tested in a pilot-phase that included 1,400 educators from 26 countries. Content and curriculum available on Learning Lab represents leading K-12 sustainability curriculum developers, including The Nature Conservancy’s Nature Works Everywhere program.
Other founding partners include EcoRise Youth Innovations, the Global Oneness Project, and Representaciones e Inteligencia Sustentable.
Through the platform, this exciting coalition of partners is showcasing standards-aligned lesson plans, interactive projects and other multi-media resources, available in a growing suite of languages, to meet the needs of an expanding global audience.
In celebration of the platform’s launch, USGBC is offering free access to educators through August 2016. Go to learninglab.usgbc.org for more information and to register.
